Common questions
Frequently asked questions
Who runs ClinicaDeFertilidade.PT?
+
We are a Portugal-based independent editorial team led by health journalists, with reproductive-medicine specialists on our advisory board. The full team is on /editorial-team.
How is the site funded?
+
We earn referral fees from clinics that match qualified leads from our 'Get 3 proposals' form. Editorial ranking is independent of who pays.
Do clinics pay to be featured?
+
No. Inclusion in the directory is free. Clinics can sponsor their profile, in which case the badge 'Sponsored' is shown clearly.
How do I report an error?
+
Use the form on /corrections. We respond within 5 working days and publish a public log of corrections.
Are reviews verified?
+
We aggregate Google reviews and add editorial notes after speaking with former patients. We never publish anonymous unverified comments.
Where can I find your editorial standards?
+
On /editorial-policy. It covers sourcing, conflicts of interest, anonymous sources and the use of AI tools.
Editorial team and clinical review
Every page on this portal is signed and reviewed. Each listed author or reviewer has verifiable clinical or journalistic credentials (professional registration, institutional affiliation, publications). This transparency follows Google's E-E-A-T guidelines for health content (YMYL), where author trustworthiness and expertise drive both ranking and reader value.
For clinical content we require reviewers to be physicians specialised in OB/GYN, urology, reproductive medicine or clinical embryology, registered with the Portuguese Medical Order. For regulatory/legal content we require relevant training (health-law practitioner) or 5+ years of specialised health journalism.
Authors are not paid per click or lead. Each article is compensated by editorial hours. Policy documented in editorial policy and methodology.
Each author page includes: professional bio, affiliations, declared conflicts of interest (including industry-sponsored clinical-trial participation if any) and the list of articles signed or reviewed. We link to the official public page (Medical Order, ORCID, institutional LinkedIn) where available.
If you spot an error, contact us through the corrections page. All corrections are public and dated. All information in this hub is editorially independent and cross-checked against official sources — CNPMA, Portuguese DGS, SNS, ERS and Law 32/2006. Best-practice recommendations follow European ESHRE and UK NICE NG156 guidance.
