Editorial policy
How we produce, review and correct clinical content. Defines acceptable sources, conflict-of-interest disclosure, AI use, and the line between newsroom and commercial.
Source hierarchy
Primary
CNPMA, DGS, NHS Portugal, INFARMED, Diário da República, ESHRE, SART, ASRM.
Secondary
Indexed peer-reviewed literature (PubMed, Cochrane), guidelines from scientific societies.
Tertiary
Verified clinic communications, dated and source-named.
Not accepted
Anonymous comments, unmoderated forums, unverifiable marketing.
Conflicts of interest
Editors have no clinic affiliation. Advisory-board members may; conflicts are published on /en/editorial-team and in article bylines. Commercial fees never influence editorial decisions.
AI use
We use language models for drafting, translation and editorial structuring. Every clinical claim is validated by a human before publication. We never publish AI-generated content without review.
Newsroom vs commercial
Sponsored content carries the Sponsored label and is excluded from the neutral ranking. Advertisers cannot review articles before publication.
Corrections and updates
Factual errors are corrected within 5 working days and flagged in the article. Evidence updates add a Last updated date. Severe failures lead to public retraction. All logged on /en/corrections.
