Geographic coverage
Portugal has around 30 CNPMA-licensed ART centres. The biggest concentrations are Lisbon, Porto and Coimbra; public centres also operate in Braga, Évora, Faro, and the Azores. NHS funds travel for island residents to mainland treatment when required.

How to choose
Objective criteria: (1) active CNPMA license; (2) published pregnancy-per-transfer rates (CNPMA registry); (3) ESHRE or JCI accreditation; (4) experience in your specific diagnosis (male factor, low reserve, etc.); (5) reasonable location (multiple visits required). Use our compare tool.
